The Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society will present living history cemetery tours on Saturday, April 5, in conjunction with the Civil War Weekend events being held at Riddick’s Folly. There will be characters in costume, like Susan Garrett, pictured, stationed throughout the cemetery telling the history of many interesting people who were affected in some way by the war. Also, three members of the Tom Smith Camp, Sons of Confederate Veterans, will be depicting soldiers who served and are buried at Cedar Hill. The cost will be $5 per person, $4 for historical society members. Food and drinks will be available as well as home-baked items to purchase. Call 923-4750 for reservations.
