St. Christopher’s edged out Nansemond-Suffolk 5-4 in tennis actions Monday afternoon at NSA.

St. Christopher’s took four out of six singles matches and one of three doubles matches to edge out the Saints.

Nate and Bart Grover notched the only singles wins for the Saints.

Nate defeated Scott Kelley 10-5, and Bart defeated Daniel Atwood 10-2.

NSA’s Kevin Rountree fell to Clayton Worthington 108; NSA’s Philip Gaskins fell to Brian Delaney, 10-1; NSA’s Andrew Sullivan lost 10-3 to Gray Stiles; and Daniel Zapada fell to C.J. Williams 10-1.

The Grovers defeated Kelly and Worthington 10-8 in doubles and Rountree and Gaskins for NSA knocked off Delaney and Atwood 11-9.

Williams and Stiles scored St. Christopher’s’ only doubles win, defeating Sullivan and Zapada 10-0.
