Mrs. Carrie Blizzard, 80, of 3914 State Flower Court, Portsmouth, died March 27, 2003, in Maryview Medical Center. She was a native of Ahoskie, N.C., and the daughter of the late Lee and Maude Hall Whitaker.

She was the widow of William Blizzard.

Mrs. Blizzard is survived by one daughter, Eloise Winegan of Portsmouth; one sister, Mary Lee Whitaker of Suffolk; five grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 31, at Pointe Harbor Community Church, Chesapeake, by Pastor John Houston. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk.

The family will be at the home of Sheila Jones, 2553 Meadows Landing, Chesapeake.
