Louvenia D. Scott

Mrs. Louvenia D. Scott, 96, of 2808 Country Club Drive, Suffolk, died March 27, 2003, in Maryview Medical Center. She was a native of Nansemond County, and the daughter of the late William Henry and Ida Etta Smith Diggs. She was the widow of Joseph Scott.
She was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church, Windsor and the Missionary Circle of the church.
She was also a member of the United Order of Tents No. 61.
She is survived by five sons, John W. Scott of Suffolk, Joe Henry Scott and his wife Mary of Portsmouth, William Scott and his wife Jeanie of Newport News, James Scott and his wife Patricia of Baltimore, Md., and Jackson C. Scott of Newport News; seven daughters Josephine Bradby and Alma Wooten and her husband Ernest of Baltimore, Pearlene Fulgham, and Mary Rice of Portsmouth, Kay Frances Pittman, Lillie Wellons, and Harriet E. Scott, all of Suffolk; three step children, Bernice Hill, Daisy Mann and Cecil Pittman; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be held at noon Tuesday, April 1, at Christian Home Baptist Church by Rev. Wendell Waller. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at the home of Mrs. Kay Pittman, 2808 Country Club Drive.
