Saints need one big inning to win in Richmond

Nansemond-Suffolk scored all their runs in the second inning in a 6-3 victory over host St. Benedictine on Thursday afternoon. Todd Harrell pitched the entire game for the Saints, and Adam Keeling hit a home run. The Saints will host Norfolk Christian on Tuesday.
Lady Saints kick for biggest win of season
Jessica Dobson and Stephanie Vallez had two goals apiece and Margie Cox knocked in another as the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls soccer team raced to its biggest victory and first shutout of the season Thursday, a 5-0 defeat of visiting Lawrence Academy. The Lady Saints (2-10, 0-5) will play their final home game Tuesday against Norfolk Christian.
Saints lose close one to Norfolk Collegiate
Nate and Bart Grover and Kevin Rountree won in singles competition and the Grovers teamed for a doubles victory, but host Norfolk Collegiate squeaked past Nansemond-Suffolk Acad-emy 5-4 on Thursday. The Saints (3-3, 6-6) will host Steward at 4 p.m. today.
Warriors, Lady Warriors held scoreless in soccer
Nansemond River went 0-2 in soccer against Great Bridge on Thursday, with the boys falling 13-0 and the girls falling 3-0. The Warriors and Lady Warriors head to Norview at 3:30 p.m. today.
