Marjorie A. Savage, 93, of the 1200 block of Nansemond Parkway, passed away on May 13, 2003, at Riverside Convalescent Center.

Born in Portsmouth, she was the widow of J. Ellsworth &uot;Doc&uot; Savage and was predeceased by her son, Jesse Ellsworth Savage Jr. She was a retired payroll clerk with the Naval Air Rework Facility at Little Creek Amphibious Base in Norfolk. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Congregational Methodist Church in Dunlap, Tenn.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Elsie S. Shaw of Suffolk, two cousins, Lillian Covert of Chesapeake and Lillian Covert of Chesapeake and Lillian Shroud of Michigan, and loving numerous nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m.

May 15, 2003, in Newman Memorial Cemetery at Oakland Christian Church by the Rev. Mike Derflinger.

Friends may join the family for visitation at 1213 Nansemond Parkway at all times and following the service.
