Diane Elizabeth Wagoner went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 29, 2003.
&uot;And now he has made all of this plain to us by the coming of Christ Jesus, our Savior, who broke the power of death and showed up the way to everlasting life through the Good News (II Timothy 1:10).&uot;
Born on Oct. 20, 1951, she is survived by her husband, James Rodney &uot;Rod&uot; Wagoner; her daughter Lori Elizabeth Wagoner; her father, Donald Lewis Bland; her brother, Donald Lewis Bland Jr.; and her sister, Theresa Marie McKenzie.
She was predeceased by her mother, Bertha Elizabeth Bland.
She was employed with Verizon Telephone Company and retired after 30 years of service. She was a faithful member of the Open Door Church of Suffolk.
She was a horse enthusiast and enjoyed gardening. Diane was a devoted wife and mother, and a great strength and support for all her family and friends. She was a firm believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and served him faithfully for 27 years.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 2, in Open Door Church by Pastor Tony Peaks. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
Friends may join the family from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in Harrell & Hill Funeral Home.
