Fonda Lequita Williams, born on Oct. 14, 1961, passed on to her eternal home on Friday, May 20, 2003, in Detroit, Mich.

Fonda was a daughter of the late Ellen Ledbetter Williams Silver, and the brother of the late Paul Williams.

She is survived by four brothers Phibert Williams, Edward White, Charles Phillips, and James A. Perkins Jr., all of Suffolk; two sisters, Jacquelin White and Carolyn, both of Suffolk; three aunts, Ms. Ida Baker, Ms. Lillian Jones and Ms. Rozelia Foreman; two uncles, R. Linwood Ledbetter, Sr. and James W. Ledbetter.

Fonda was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School Class of 1979 and attended the University of Michigan where she received her associate degree.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, in Mineral Spring Baptist Church in Whaleyville.

The family will receive friends at the home of Ms. Ida Baker, 2400 Carolina Road, Suffolk.

Abraham Applewhite & Sons Funeral Home will be in charge.
