Nellie Thompson Trump, 101, died June 8, 2003.

Born August 23, 1901 in Floyd County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Dickerson and Wade Thompson, and the widow of Hersey Wade Trump Sr. She was predeceased by a son, Hersey Wade Trump Jr.

Mrs. Trump was a member of the Suffolk Christian Church. She served 50 years in the Children’s Division of the church of which 37 years she was the superintendent of the Beginners Department. She was also a member of the West Memorial Bible Class. Women’s Fellowship and Senior Citizen Fellowship.

Survivors include one daughter, Annie Trump Haskins of Suffolk; one son, Bobby Lee Trump Sr. and wife Joyce of Suffolk; one daughter-in-law, Maude Trump of Williamsburg; two sisters, Vera Turner of Athens, Ga. and Daphne Spilos of San Grabriel, Calif.; three grandchildren, Renee Trump of Atlanta, Ga.; Hersey Wade Trump III and wife Lisa of Williamsburg; and Bobby Lee Trump Jr. and wife Teresa of Suffolk; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Trump, Mitchell Trump and Jessica Trump, all of Williamsburg; and one step-great-granddaughter, Krystal Sadler of Suffolk.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory by the Rev. Michael D. Halley, with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
