The Driver Ruritan Club celebrated its golden anniversary Monday night in Berea Congregational Christian Church. The club was actually chartered May 18, 1953. Later, Krystal Gizara of Nansemond River High School received a $500 scholarship from the Rev. Robert Bennett, a club member and former pastor of the church.
