Virginia T. Allison

Virginia T. Allison, 101, of Warrenton, Va. died Thursday, June 26, 2003, in the Blue Ridge Christian Home, Bealeton, Va.

She was born on May 31, 1902, at Suffolk, formerly of 426 W. Washington St. She graduated from the Suffolk Public School System and held a teaching certificate from The College of William and Mary and The University of Virginia. She taught in the public school systems of Surry County, Va., Alexandria, Va. and Warrenton. For 25 years, she owned and operated a kindergarten in Warrenton.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alex Allison.

She is survived by one son, Douglas A. Allison Jr. of Warrenton; one grandson, Douglas A. Allison III; and one great-grandson, Jasper Fielding Taylor Allison; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, in St. James Episcopal Church, Warrenton, by the Rev. P. Lawrence Murphy. Interment will be in Warrenton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday in Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton.
