Forbes comments on HUD funding

The $3.845 million in HUD funding will be used to carry out the city’s plans for street improvement, park and playground enhancement, commercial redevelopment, and residential development as part of the Fairgrounds Redevelopment Plan project.&uot;
&uot;Since I first became Congressman for the Fourth District, I have been working to help the City of Suffolk obtain funding for this project, through both the congressional appropriations process and the competitive grant process.
For the past several months, I have been in close contact with the City of Suffolk and HUD to offer additional support to secure loan approval of these much-needed funds. Working together, we were able to make the vision for a revitalized Suffolk become a reality.&uot;
