Starting today, seven teams of little Suffolkians will be heading to state competition. Bennett’s Creek softball and baseball teams tied last season’s record high by winning all but one All-Star District 6 titles. It was a clean sweep for BC in baseball as the (right, from the top) 9-10, 11-12, Junior and Senior squads all came out on top, while the (above, from top) 11-12, Junior, and Senior softball teams won. The Suffolk News-Herald offers its congratulations to these groups of youngsters, and wishes them the best of luck as they battle teams from across Virginia.
