Harry S. Rhoads Jr.

Harry S. Rhoads Jr., 73, of the 2100 block of Wilroy Road, Suffolk, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2003.

Born in Louisville, Ky., he had retired as United States Navy boatswains mate, and was part-owner and chief helper at Lunchtime Express.

He was a member of Full Gospel Assembly of God, and attended Bethel Temple, both in Hampton.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 26 years, Iris Kennedy Rhoads, three sons, Harry S. Rhoads III of Virginia Beach; Mark A. Rhoads of Falling Waters, W.Va.; and Dale Kennedy of Spartanburg, S.C.; two daughters, Terry Lynn Jones and Kathy Ann Horner, both of Chesapeake; and eight grandchildren.

The graveside ceremony with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 21, in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia by the Rev. Bill Brock.

Friends may join the family from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Harrell & Hill Funeral Home.
