Richard B. Reynolds

Richard Benjamin Reynolds, 77, of 131 Manning Rd., died July 20, 2003. He was the son of the late Augustus and Mary Lee Hullender Reynolds and was retired from the Building and Maintenance Department with Thomas Lipton.
He was a native of Kings Mountain, N.C.
He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and the Taylor Brittle Sunday School Class.
He was a member of Layman’s Fellowship, Bethlehem Ruritan Club, G&H Hunt Club, an active volunteer with Boy Scout Troop No. 30, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity and Lipton Ambassador’s Club.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha Ashley Reynolds of Suffolk; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Wayne and Nancy Reynolds of Gastonia, N.C.; Gerald Ashley and Cherry Reynolds of Tomball, TX.; and Joe Lawrence and Linda Reynolds of Suffolk; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Grace Bell; brothers, Fred, Ned, and Bill Reynolds.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22 at Parr Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathan S. Palmer officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday and other times at the residence.
