Authorities have arrested three suspects accused of robbing a convenience store around 4 a.m. Thursday.

Dawayne Jowell Bright, 19, of Chesapeake; La’Anthony Thomas Cross of the 100 block of Clay Street; and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested shortly after they robbed the Sentry Mart at 2332 Pruden Blvd, police said.

The three men escaped with an undetermined amount of cash but were stopped a short distance from the scene, police said.

During the robbery, the juvenile displayed what was believed to be handgun, police said. It was later determined that the weapon was a BB gun.
