North Suffolk Family Medicine plans health fair, offers sports physicals

Free health screenings and low-cost sports physicals are planned as part of the North Suffolk Family Medicine Health Fair on Aug. 23 from noon to 3 p.m.
The office, located at 3217 Bridge Road, also will introduce its newest physicians, Dr. Prashanthi Koduri and Dr. James Waddy. The family practice specialists are on the Medical Staff at Obici Hospital. North Suffolk Family Medicine is owned by Obici Health System.
Free bone density screening, blood sugar screening and blood pressure screening will be available. A limited number of sports physicals will be provided for $15. Appointments for sports physicals are required; call 686-5807.
According to Dr. Lynne Stockman, medical director of the practice, &uot;The Health Fair will highlight our new staff and provide some popular screenings for our local community through our partnership with Obici Hospital.&uot; In addition to northern Suffolk, the practice serves parts of Chesapeake, Portsmouth and Isle of Wight County.
Dr. Stockman said the event is &uot;a way to show we’re involved in preventive medicine for the community we serve.&uot;
