Several members of the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy cheerleading squad recently took part in a four-day camp held at North Carolina State University. The camp was sponsored by the National Cheerleading Association (NCA). The Lady Saints received two blue ribbons for excellence, a spirit stick, and a trophy for first place in performing their respective chant. Five girls were nominated for NCA All-American awards, and two, senior Jamie Howell and junior Amanda Smith, received the honors.
