Jacob Stetler Risley of Wilmington, N.C., died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, in UNC Memorial Hospital, Chapel Hill.
He was born on July 14, 2003, in Wilmington, N.C. He was the son of Steven Robert Risley and Katherine Rissmiller Risley.
In addition to his parents, Jacob is survived by his brother, James Anderson &uot;Andy&uot; Risley; his maternal grandparents, Jim and Betty Rissmiller of Greensboro, N.C.; two maternal great-grandmothers, Fern Q. Rissmiller of Woodstock, Ga.; and Mary S. Mizelle of Suffolk; paternal grandparents, John and Dellaine Risley of Raleigh, N.C.; paternal great-grandmother, Echo Dell Anderson of Raleigh; paternal great-grandfather, Wilf Flager of Seattle, Wash.; his aunts and uncles, Beth and Stockton Weikel, Anne Rissmiller, Renelle Risley and Cindy Smyth, Jim and Jackie Risley; and three cousins.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Steve Hein and Mr. Nate Stratman. A private burial will be held in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to those who assisted with Jacob at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and the Pediatric Intensive Care unit at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
