Police investigate double shooting

Two gunshot victims are recovering at Obici Hospital following a Wednesday evening argument in the 300 block of East Washington Street.
Suffolk Police Detective Gary D. Myrick is investigating the double shooting that took place around 6:30 p.m. He said he learned of the verbal altercation and that one of the participants in the argument produced a handgun and began firing.
The names of the two victims, ages 26 and 75, were not released by police. One victim was shot in the wrist. The second was hit in the forearm and groin, however, the gunshots were not life threatening in either case.
