Police responded to John F. Kennedy Middle School Thursday when two students became involved in an argument that resulted in a teacher being shoved.
Bethanne Bradshaw, spokeswoman for Suffolk Public Schools, said one of the students, a 15-year old male, was actually attempting to assault another student when the incident occurred.
The student has been suspended and recommended for expulsion, Bradshaw said.
&uot;Basically, we don’t think it was particularly malicious on his part,&uot; she said. &uot;But because of that push and continuing defiant behavior even after the fight broke up, he has been recommended for expulsion.&uot;
