Jean Wilkins Flanagan, 80, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003. A native of Suffolk, she was a daughter of the late Sally Brown Wilkins and Ernest L. Wilkins Sr.

She was a former assistant city treasurer for the city of Suffolk.

She was a lifelong member of Suffolk Christian Church, in which she attended the West Memorial Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Robert F. Flanagan of Portsmouth; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert J. and Deborah Z. Flanagan of Gwynedd, Pa.; a grandchild, Kellie Lauren Flanagan of Gwynedd; a sister, Virginia W. Aldridge of Dahlonega, Ga.; an aunt, Madeline Brown of Suffolk; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Gladys Tovolacci.

The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, in Cedar Hill Cemetery, by the Rev. Michael D. Halley.

The family will continue fellowship with friends, following the graveside service, at Suffolk Christian Church.
