Win makes Pretlow’s birthday happier

Ellis Pretlow (pictured) celebrated her 16th birthday Tuesday by winning her singles match and teaming with Ashley Keyes for a doubles victory as Nansemond-Suffolk Academy defeated St. Catherine’s 7-2. Parris Grieder prepares to charge the net during NSA’s 25-19, 25-17, 25-21 loss to St. Catherine’s. The boys team also lost in straight games, to Peninsula Catholic. Adam Schlaudecker scored the first two goals of his varsity career in NSA’s 5-4 loss to Steward. Willis Taylor also scored two goals for the Saints, who erased three- and one-goal deficits during the game.
