Mrs. Cathy Williams of Suffolk announces the engagement of her daughter, Shanita D. Baker, to Elton L. Skinner Jr.

She is also the daughter of Marvin Deloatch.

Mr. Skinner is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elton L. Skinner Sr. of Suffolk.

Miss Baker is the maternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James T. Baker, and the paternal granddaughter of Mrs. Betty S. Deloatch.

Mr. Skinner is the maternal grandson of Mrs. Elizabeth Guess and Mr. Herbert Williams Sr., and the paternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Skinner Sr.

The wedding will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in King’s Fork Community House, 1600 Kings Fork Road. Pastor Catherine Skinner will officiate.
