John Joseph Hazelwood III, 46, of Buckhorn Dr., passed into eternal rest on Oct. 4, 2003, at Sentara Leigh Hospital.

He was a former furniture warehouse manager and a former security guard.

John is survived by his wife, Vivian Lee Hazelwood; his parents, John J. Hazelwood Jr. and Marjorie Juanita Hazelwood; his daughters, Marie Hazelwood and her fiance, Kevin Harris of Colonial Heights and Rose Hazelwood of Richmond; his son, Michael Hazelwood of Richmond; his granddaughter, Alexis Hazelwood; his brother, Michael Hazelwood and his sister in Law, Patricia Hazelwood of Newsom; and his stepson, Ryan Mardre of Raleigh, N.C.; his father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Harry and Vivian Winborne; his sister in law, Judy Horton and his brother-in-law, Stewart Winborne.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory by Pastor Charles Pearson with burial in the Winborne Family Cemetery on Indian Trail. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7-9 p.m.
