Suffolk resident appointed to accreditation board

Suffolk resident Richardean Benjamin-Coleman, chair of Old Dominion University’s School of Nursing, has been appointed to the board of commissioners of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

Benjamin-Coleman will serve a two-year term beginning in January 2004.

Recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education is an autonomous accrediting agency contributing to the improvement of the public’s health. The commission ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate and graduate education programs preparing nurses.
