Women’s club hosting former governor’s wife

Roxanne Gatling Gilmore, wife of the former governor James Gilmore, will be the guest speaker for the Woman’s Club of Suffolk, a member of the GFWC – Virginia, at noon Tuesday, Oct. 28, in Bunny’s Restaurant.
Gilmore, a native of Suffolk, was a graduate of the public schools and of the University of Virginia, holding a master’s degree after post-graduate studies.
She will describe her family’s life during the renovation of the Governor’s Mansion during their four-year residency.
Club members are reminded that dues are payable at this meting, and are asked to bring school supplies for Re-Ed SECEP students, and Farm Fresh sales receipts for donations to the schools.
