I am excited and extremely grateful for the support of the public aid to all the guest artists that came out to the Suffolk Peanut Festival’s first Gospel Explosion on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 12) at the Family Harvest Stage.

Gospel groups that appeared: Virginia State University Gospel Choir of Petersburg, Rising St. James Male Choir, New Mt. Joy Gospel Choir, &uot;Rapsody&uot; Chris Battle, gospel rap artist (soloist), the Saratoga Community Chorus, the St. Paul Baptist Praise Dance Team, the Missouri Baptist Praise Dance Team, Doris Pittman, special solo guest artist, Stephenia Dance Studio’s Praise Dance team, Leroy and Janice Butler of WKGM AM 940 of Smithfield, plus many more.

If you missed this one, you missed a treat. Hope to see all of you again next year and more. To all of the Suffolk Festival board members and staff Suffolk Parks and Recreation Director Lakita Frazier, her staff and volunteers, once again, thank you.
