James T. Williams, 69, of Big Canoe, Ga., died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003.

Mr. Williams spent 50 years in the health care industry and retired from Beverly Enterprises in 1999. Mr. Williams was born in Suffolk, Va., on Feb. 17, 1934 to Marvin and Texanna Williams, and graduated from Suffolk High School in 1952.

Surviving are his wife, Betsy R. Williams of Big Canoe; daughter, Jenny Ward, Charlotte, N.C.; sons, Bruce Williams, Annandale, Va.; Brian Williams, Roswell, Ga.; and James T. Williams Jr., Wellbourne, England; sisters, Dorothy Darden, Suffolk; and Eleanor Hahne, Fairfax, Va.; brother, Marvin E. Williams, Port Charlotte, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, in Big Canoe Chapel. The Rev. Linda Whitmire officiating.
