We’ll be as interested as everyone else – if not more so – with the recount that Suffolk Clerk of Court candidate Kirk Pretlow has reportedly requested.. For those of you who were out of town this past week, he came in second place; Randy Carter is the choice…so far.

But an error in counting the unofficial results shows a mere 16 vote difference. We trust that Pretlow will pursue the matter not because we favor one candidate over another, but as an obligation to voters so that they won’t be disenfranchised.
