Richard A. Park

Dr. Richard A. Park died at his home on Constance Woods Drive on Nov. 9, 2003.
He was born in Ashland, Ohio in 1927 and during WWII he served in the Marine Corps on a troop transport ship. Richard was a retired Presbyterian minister and a member of the Presbytery of Eastern Virginia.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Terry Trent Park, and is survived by his wife, Lynnette Holmes Park; his daughters, Kim Jamison, her husband David and his grandsons Weston and Chase Jamison of Windsor, Mindy Park of Newport News and Valerie Freeman and her husband Terry of Hampton as well as his wife’s children, Sheri Pritchard and his granddaughter Peyton of Suffolk, Jay Gabbert of Charlotte, N.C. and Michelle Kjeldgaard and her husband Todd of Albuqurque, NM.
The memorial service will be held at West End Baptist Church by the Rev. T.F. Irby Jr. at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12. The family will remain after the service to greet friends.
