Lakeland junior Katelyn Smither, who led the Eastern Region in goals for the second consecutive year this past season with 26 (24 the year before) was voted the Eastern Region Player of the Year on Monday night. Jennifer Brinkley, another member of the Lady Cavalier squad that won its third consecutive Southeastern District title last season, also made the First All-Region team, as did Nansemond River’s Ali Mowry.

Lakeland’s Nicole Debein, Ashley McCord and Kelsey Cutchins and Nansemond River’s Natalie Sims made the Second All-Region squad, and Nansemond River’s Ashley Aston and Lakeland’s Alice Carnegie and Lindsay Kelly received Honorable Mentions.
