According to Faulk, the alumni chose to give to both schools because of the rich history both have contributed to many of the alumni members’ lives.

Many current alumni members first attended Robinson before transferring to Southwestern Elementary School in the fifth grade.

&uot;I attended Robinson Elementary and remember all of the fond activities and events while attending the school,&uot; said Faulk.

Faulk said that Nansemond County Training/Southwestern High school has formed a business partnership with Southwestern Elementary School and members volunteer for activities throughout the year. The alumni members are also committed to sharing in and contributing to the education of youth.
