Charlie M. Holloway

Mr. Charlie M. Holloway, 83, of the 200 block North Capitol Street, Suffolk, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, in Granville Medical Center, Oxford, N.C.
He was a native of North Carolina, and a son of the late Luther Holloway and Eugina Jones-Holloway. He was preceded in death by his wife Katie Lou Rodgers Holloway, and a son, Charles &uot;June&uot; Holloway.
He was a member of Lawson Chapel Baptist Church, a retired brick mason, and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by a son, Gene A. Holloway of Victoria; three sisters, Bretia Rodgers and Maxine Holloway, both of Roxboro; and Gurthrine Brody of Highpoint, N.C.; six brothers, James (Wilma), Warren, George Holloway, and Luther (Helen), all of Trenton, N.J.; Edward Holloway of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Bobby (Catherine) and John Holloway, both of Roxboro; a daughter-in-law, Estelle L. Holloway of Oxford; a special niece, Dorothy &uot;Dot&uot; Brinkley (John) of Suffolk; sister-in-law, Bessie Holloway; grandchildren, Rashawn Lawrence, Cynthia Holloway Morton (Darryl) all of Oxford; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and other nieces nephews, relatives, and friends.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Lawson Chapel Baptist Church, Roxboro, N.C. by the Rev. Dr. Langston Logan Sr. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
