William E. Walston

William Edgar &uot;Bill&uot; Walston, 83, of Suffolk, passed away on Nov. 22, 2003, in a local hospital.

Born in Wayne County, N.C., he was the son of the late Charlie J. and Willie (Coley) Walston and was the widower of Jeanette Knight Walston. He was a retired truck driver of many years and had recently been employed with G & G Farms.

He was blessed with one son, Charlie W. Walston of Suffolk; five daughters, Susan W. Bateman of Hampton, Faye W. Price of Farmville, N.C., Phyllis W. Sides of Lake Worth, Fla., Joan W. Ayers of Wilson, N.C.; and his beloved deceased daughter, Sylvia Martin; two sisters, Eloise W. Baker and Alma W. baker, both of Greenville, N.C. Also missing him will be his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25 in Holland Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Rev. Carter L. Dey.

Friends may join the family at Harrell and Hill Funeral Home

from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday for visitation, and at the home of Charlie and Marianne Walston, 4421 Winona Trail, Suffolk at other times.
