Mr. and Mrs. Norman H. McIntosh of Suffolk are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret E. McIntosh, to Brian A. Bunting of Suffolk.

The groom-to-be is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce A. Bunting of Suffolk.

The couple will be married Dec. 12, 2003, at St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church in Suffolk.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and is currently pursuing a degree in mass communications. He is a graduate of John Yeates High School and is pursuing a degree in fire science.

Both Meg and Brian are employed as firefighters by the city of Suffolk Department of Fire and Rescue.

Meg is the granddaughter of Mrs. Eugene A. Smith Jr., the late Eugene A. Smith Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman McIntosh.

Brian is the grandson of Mrs. James Earl Shifflet , Mr. and Mrs. Melville Ashby Bunting and the late James Earl Shiftlett.
