Gwenn P. Alston, 52, of 3112 Bomar Drive, Chesapeake, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2003, in Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth.

A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of Virginia Beale Parker, and the late Walter L. Parker Sr.

She was a 1968 graduate of John F. Kennedy Middle School. She attended Virginia State University.

She is survived by her husband, Gregory E. Alston I of Chesapeake; two daughters, Tinisha Alston of Virginia Beach, and Nikki Alston Herring (Kenya) of Chesapeake; two sons, Gregory E. Alston II and Glenn I. Alston of Chesapeake; her mother, Virginia B. Parker of Chesapeake; one brother, Walter L. Parker Jr. of Dover, Del.; seven grandchildren; father- and mother-in-law, Ira C. and Lillie R. Alston; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 15 in Diamond Grove Baptist Church, Crittenden Road, and conducted by the Rev. Ronald Goodwin.

Interment will be in the Wiggins Family Cemetery.
