Jessie &uot;Kas-mo&uot; James Alexander, Jr., 61, of 509 Reed Court, Suffolk, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, in Bayside Hospital, Virginia Beach.

He was a native of Nansemond County, and a son of the late Jessie J. Alexander Sr., and Annie Mae James Alexander.

He was formerly employed at Gold Kist Peanut Company.

He is survived by a daughter, Susie Alston of Suffolk; three grandchildren; a brother, William R. Alexander of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mae Pearl Alexander Copeland of Lawton, Okla., and Hazel L. Powers of Tarboro, N.C.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and caregivers.

The graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, in Holly Lawn Cemetery, and conducted by Kevin Mallory of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, is handling arrangement.
