Georgia Jones Ward, 85, of 7300 River Hill Road, Oxon Hill, Md., died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, in Washington, D.C.

She was a native of Suffolk, the daughter of the late Solomon and Adell Carr Jones, and the widow of Charlie L. Ward. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara W. Porter.

She was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, where she was a deaconess, member of the Senior Choir and Hospitality Committee.

She is survived by one daughter, Gloria R. Ward-Revenell of Oxon Hill, Md.; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, in Bethlehem United Church of Christ by the Rev. Emmanuel Myrick. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 8 to 8 p.m. Friday in Crocker Funeral Home.

The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The family will be at 202 Bute St.
