Georgia H. Kindred

Mrs. Georgia Holliman Kindred, 84, of Windsor, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, in Obici Hospital.

She was a native of Isle of Wight County, and the daughter of the late Nonnie Holliman and Mary Bowers Holliman. She was the widow of Herbert Lee Kindred Sr. She was also preceded in death by children, Virginia Ann Greene and Herbert Kindred Jr., who lived in Windsor, and Gladys Kindred Salley of Yonkers, N.Y.

She was a faithful lifelong member of King’s Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, Myrtle.

Her survivors include four sisters-in-law, Theresa Holliman and Geneva Darden, both of Suffolk; Florence Kindred of Portsmouth; and Louise Holliman of Franklin; children, Alfred Kindred Sr. of Surry; Virginia Fenwick (James) of Newport News; Robert T. Newby and Janie M. Wilkerson (James), all of Portsmouth; Carolyn T. Waters of Newark, N.J.; Donald H. Kindred Sr. of Windsor; Larry W. Kindred, Elizabeth M. Williams and Curtis D. Kindred (Connie), all of Suffolk; Linda K. King (John) of Hampton; Kimberly S. Blasingame (Leonard) of Mt. Holly, N.J.; Virginia Kindred Ridley (Ronald) and Chris Greene, all of Stranton, Pa.; and James Greene of Norfolk. and two brothers, Arthur Holliman Sr. (Vertley) of Windsor, and Ralph Holliman of Temperville, Md.

Other survivors are 119 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at noon Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, in King’s Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church under the direction and spiritual leadership Bishop John H. Kindred, pastor. The interment will be in Tyler Family Cemetery.

The viewing will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, in Crocker Funeral Home Inc., which in charge.
