Snow gives weary Cavaliers time to regroup after big losses

The fatigue can be seen on the face of Lakeland’s Eric Ruffin (pictured) during his team’s 73-46 loss to Churchland on Thursday. It was the Cavaliers’ fourth game in eight days. Friday’s snowstorm gave both Lakeland teams a chance to invigorate themselves before battling crosstown rival Nansemond River; originally scheduled for Friday night, the games will be played Monday at Nansemond River. Sharde Brown leads the Lady Cavaliers into action at 6 p.m., with the boys’ game scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
