Home care service graduates 15

About 15 students recently received certificates of completion in New Paul’s Temple Holiness Church during graduation exercises for its first combined Al At Home Care and Simply Love Home Care Services of Personal Care Assistants (PCA’s).
Some students stood out among others: Ethel Collington was the oldest student of the class and was experiencing her very first graduation of any curriculum. Elaine Carroll was the first student to complete all requirements including classroom studies and clinical practice. This was also her first graduation experience. Raymond Felton was the first male graduate and received an honor roll and perfect attendance award. The most improved graduate was Umeka Lamb.
Other graduates were Charlene Askew, Kenya Colbert, Chattanooga Dixon, Madmunnie Horace, Chaney Jennings, Tineka Knight, Meredith Manley, Latarisha Mann, Priscilla Mickle, Christa Riddick, and Tracey Warmack.
Those absent from the ceremony were Trina Bailey, Yolanda Bishop, Patrice Green, and Latisha Hawkins.
Carolyn Parrish, director of Personnel for the Al At Home Care Service, served as mistress of ceremonies; Shaneeka Wheeler, L.P.N. and director of Simply Love, was guest speaker and spoke on the subject, &uot;The Golden Rule.&uot;
Instructors for the program were Linda Elliott, RN., director of Nursing Services for Al, and Ava Wilson, RN., Personal Care supervisor.
Al At Home Care and Simply Love are sister companies that provide personal care throughout Suffolk and surrounding areas. These personal care assistant training programs have been under way for a short period of time, but are advancing in productivity.
