Crystal E. Lee
Crystal Elaine Lee has been named to the Dean’s List at the College of William and Mary for the Spring 2004 semester. She is a rising senior at the college and is pursuing both a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a sociology minor. Lee has also been the recipient of the National Dean’s List honorary award for three years. Currently, she is working as a summer intern in the Medical Social Work Unit at Obici Hospital.
Upon graduating in May of 2004, she plans to attend graduate school for clinical psychology. She is the daughter of Clarence R. Lee Sr. and Elaine Lee of 2073 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk.
Kristi V. Mizelle
Kristi V. Mizelle recently was awarded a Master’s of Public Health Degree from John Hopkins University. She will complete her fourth year of medical school beginning June 2004 and graduate from the University of Virginia in May 2005.
Mizelle is a 1996 graduate of Nansemond River High School and is a 2000 graduate from Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga.
She is the daughter of Attorney and Mrs. Johnnie Mizelle.
Eight students named to lists at Longwood College
The following Suffolk students at Longwood College have been named to the President’s and Dean’s Lists for superior academic achievement during the spring 2004 semester:
Angela Marie Francis was named to the Dean’s List for earning an academic average of 3.5 to 3.99.
Jennifer Leigh Morrill was named to the Dean’s List for earning an academic average of 3.5 to 3.99.
Laura Catherine Robb was named to the Dean’s List for earning an academic average of 3.5 to 3.99.
Megan Lynn Greene was named to the President’s List for earning perfect academic average of 4.0.
Deborah Suzanne Weinstein was named to the President’s List for earning perfect academic average of 4.0.
Amanda Lee Renwick was named to the Dean’s List for earning an academic average of 3.5 to 3.99.
Three graduate from Longwood
The following students graduated from Longwood College recently: Shenica Renee Edmonds with a BS degree in social work; Adam Thomas Carnegie, cum laude with a BSBA degree in business administration; and Deborah Suzanne Weinstein, cum laude with a BA degree in English.
Ashlely Nicole Darden
The Junto Woman’s Club has presented a $1,000 scholarship to Ashley Nicole Darden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Darden and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Darden Sr. She will be attending
Virginia Tech in the fall.
