Crusaders sweep NSA on the court

Visiting Catholic swept Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in basketball on Wednesday, with the male Saints falling 54-43 and the Lady Saints losing 42-23. Bo Garner led the boys squad with 12 points, and Ann-Taylor Spain was the top woman with nine. NSA’s Claire Leonard and Michelle Boucher were the only players to make three-point shots. The Saints host Norfolk Collegiate tonight, with the girls game beginning at 5:30 and the boys at 7.

Windsor Athletics holding signups soon

The Windsor Athletic Association will be holding signups for spring baseball and softball from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 31 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Windsor Youth Sports Complex on Rt. 258.

Chuckatuck holding little league signups

The Chuckatuck Little League will be holding registration at the Chuckatuck fire department on King’s Highway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 31.

Bennett’s Creek little league holding registration Feb. 7

Bennett’s Creek little league will be holding its final day of baseball and softball registration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Driver Elementary School cafeteria.
