Daisy Davis

Daisy Davis, 99, of 405 Boat St., Suffolk, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, in Chesapeake Health Care Center.
A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Addie Vann, and the widow of Willie Davis.
She was a faithful member of Faith Temple Apostolic Holiness Church since 1961. She served on the Missionary Board, the Pastor’s Aide and the Mothers’ Board.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: a devoted niece, Elizabeth Bernard of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Elijah and Valencia Biggs, both of Elizabeth City, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Biggs of Elizabeth City; four stepdaughters, Ruby Pope (Vernon) of Suffolk; Erma Thomas, Ann Benford (Jimmie) of Detroit, Mich.; and Pearlie Mae Cooper (George) of New York; one stepson, Willie Davis (Isabel) of Detroit; one foster sister, Nora Nicholson of Portsmouth; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, in Faith Temple Apostolic Church by Bishop Obadiah Colander. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
