Winner hits double whammy

Charles Leonard Willis III, known as &uot;Lee&uot; by friends and family, is the winner of a 19-inch color television in the Suffolk News-Herald’s coloring contest this week.

Lee, 9, attends Nansemond-Suffolk Academy where math is his favorite subject. He is the son of Lynette and Lenny Willis of General Pickett Drive.

&uot;But I get the coloring page from my grandma, Loretta S. Willis, of Bridge Road,&uot; said Lee. &uot;She either mails it to me or gives it to me when I visit her.&uot;

Apparently, his grandmother also gives him good luck – this is the second coloring contest sponsored by the News-Herald that Lee has won. Last time, he won $100.

Lee’s sister, 10-year old Logan, has entered the coloring contest three times and has yet to win. But she doesn’t intend to give up. Logan said she enjoys coloring and definitely plans on winning at some point. The News-Herald’s coloring and trivia contests will continue to be held periodically.
