Nathaniel R. Lassiter

Nathaniel R. Lassiter, 65, of Suffolk, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, in Nansemond Pointe Health Care Center.
A native of Nansemond County, he was a son of Essie M. Arline Deveraux and the late Leroy Knight.
He was a self-employed carpenter.
He was a member of New Mt. Joy Family Worship Center and a former member of the choir.
He is survived by a daughter, Tiffany Zimmerman of Suffolk; his mother, Essie Arline Deveraux of Suffolk; two sisters, Doretha Frazier of Birmingham, Ala.; and Catherine Arline of Suffolk; four brothers, Eddie Lassiter of Jamaica, N.Y.; Henry Arline (Violet) of Atlantic City, N.J.; James C. Arline (Julia) and Joe Arline (Shirley), both of Suffolk; one grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in New Mt. Joy Family Worship Center by Dr. W.P. Wiggins, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
