Gloria Yvonne Cotton, 56, of 121 S. Fifth Street, Suffolk, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, in Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth.

She was employed as a certified nursing assistant by the Churchland House.

She was a member of Greater First Baptist Church, Orlando.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Ralph Everett Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Cotton; one son, Manry Powell of Hampton; three grandchildren, Demetris, Steven and Jaquan; her mother, Mamie Hall; stepfather, Vernon L. Hall; one brother, Joe Ralph Everett Jr. (Lillian); mother-in-law, Gracie J. Cotton; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, in Greater First Baptist Church, Orlando, by Dr. Henry G. Baker. Interment was in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

The family will be at 2101 Myrick Ave.

Crocker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
