Colleen Carr Credle, 69, of Virginia Beach, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, in a Virginia Beach Hospital.

Mrs. Credle was a native of Isle of Wight County. She was the daughter of John L. Carr, who passed away in 1968, and Ida E. Sawyer, who passed away Dec. 24, 2003.

She was a member of Colosse Baptist Church, and a graduate of Windsor High School, class of 1953.

She is survived by her husband, John D. Credle; two sons, J. Michael Credle of Bellingham, Wash., and Tracy L. Credle and wife, Kelly, of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Anson and Nevan Credle of Bellingham; and Jakelynn Credle of Virginia Beach; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann and William Quann of Bellevue, Ind.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29, in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell & Hill Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

The family will receive friends at the residence, 569 Catalina Ave., Virginia Beach.

In lieu of flowers. The family request memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 604 Constance Woods Drive, Suffolk, or a charity of one’s choice.

The family would like to thank Mrs. Grace Shelton and Mrs. Beatrice Scarborough for the special care they gave her.
