Marcus Williams, owner of Boogie’s, an automotive facility on Carolina Road, was charged Monday with obstruction of justice, operating without a business license, not having identification on a tow truck, solicitation with a tow truck and failure to provide a towing receipt, said Lt. Debbie George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department.
The arrest stems from an accident on Feb. 15, when Williams, 41, of the 100 block of South 11th Street pulled a car from the ditch.
But Williams has also attracted the attention of customers at one of downtown Suffolk’s newest eateries, Baron’s Pub.
On several occasions, customers who have parked at Suffolk Towers have come outside to find their cars had been towed to Williams’ business.
